Pavia is located 30 Km south of Milan: Milan Airports (Linate and Malpensa)
are connected by shuttle services to Milan CentraI Railway Station where
hourly trainsfor Pavia are available.
HOW
TO GET TO THE CONGRESS VENUE
The streets in the town centre are reserved for pedestrians and public
transport; the University Main Building, located in the centre, can be
reached either on foot or by public transport (buses 3 and 6 ): therefore
we suggest you leave your car in a car parking space outside the centre.
LANGUAGE
The language of the Congress will be English. The simultaneous translation
will not be available.
ATTENDANCE
CERTIFICATE
At the end of the meeting, registered delegates will receive, upon
request, an attendance certificate available from the Secretariat.

PAYMENT
All fees are payable in advance.
Payment should be made in Italian or in Euro currency either by cheque,
drawn on an Italian bank, by bank wire to Congress Team Project account

066 (All charges have to be paid by the registrant) or by credit card
(a surcharge of 5% will be applied to all credit charges).
CANCELLATION
Cancellation received in writing prior to May 30, will be refunded,
less ItL. 80,000 as an administrative charge.
No refunds will be made on cancellations received after May 30. All refunds
will be issued after the meeting.

AND CLOTHING
The weather in June is usually very mild. It is advisable to bring
a jacket or dress as evenings may be cooler.
INSURANCE
The Scientific and the Organizing Secretariats accept no liability
for any injury sustained during or in transit to or from this meeting.
The participants acknowledge that they are attending voluntarily and exempt
this organization from any liability.
VARIATIONS
The Scientific and the Organizing Secretariats reserve the right, for
technical and/or scientific reasons, to make any change to the Congress
programme.

Information
LUNCH-MEETING WITH THE EXPERT
The lunch-meeting with the expert on Monday, June 25, and Tuesday,
June 26 are open only to participants invited by
the Scientific Secretariat.
SLIDES
A double slide projection service is provided: slides must bear the
Speaker's name, be numbered in order of projection and handed over to
the Slide Centre at least two hours before the starting of the session.
PROCEEDINGS
The proceedings will be published in a supplement of an indexed scientific
journal
ACCEPTED
CONTRIBUTIONS
The Scientific Secretariat welcomes the submission of abstracts of
originaI contributions on any topic relating to the Congress. Participants
interested in presenting a poster are invited to submit abstracts, written
in English and typed on the abstract form. Please send to the Scientific
Secretariat within April 15, 2001 as follows:

Acceptance
of the abstract will be notified.

POSTERS
Posters will be displayed for general viewing for the entire Congress
in the Posters Area.
Posters (70 cm wide and 100 cm high) will be set up by the Authors in
the designated area, starting from Sunday, June 24, at 15.00 and will
removed at the end of the Congress.
SELECTED
POSTERS PRESENTATION
On the basis of the interest of data being presented, 6 posters will
be selected by the Scientific Secretariat for platform presentation (10')
on June 26; from 18.00 to 19.00
SPECIAL
SYMPOSIUM
The Special Symposium of Monday, June 25 (17.30-19.00) will be held
in the Conference Room of the Institute "F. Pertusati", V.le
Matteotti 63 - Pavia, located within walking distance from the Congress
venue.
