In the first years of this new millennium, as neuroscientists, we probably all have great expectations of the new approaches to some of the most important issues in neurophthalmology.

We are pleased to invite you to attend the meeting NEW ADVANCES IN CHILD NEUROPHTHALMOLOGY which is to be held in Pavia on November 22nd, 2002.

The aim of this international event is to highlight specific aspects of the relationship between eye and brain in childhood development that are of current interest. This event is also being held to coincide with the 13TH OTTORINO ROSSI AWARD organized by the "C. Mondino Institute of Neurology" Foundation.

The OTTORINO ROSSI AWARD is a prize awarded annually to a distinguished scientist who has contributed to our knowledge in the neurosciences. The 2002 award is to go to an expert in the field of neurophthalmology.

This congress, which will take place in a historical town of exceptional interest, will provide an important opportunity to talk about fascinating problems related to eye-brain diseases.
